Our Story

My journey with people with Down Syndrome started back in 2007 when my sweet cousin Peter was born. He quickly became the love of my life and I spent as much time as humanly possible with him. I was only 12 at the time but I just felt an angelic presence around him. When he was 2.5 he sadly passed away and it genuinely changed my life forever..

Through high school, I spent so much time with people with Down Syndrome including one of my really great friends older brothers who was able to join us in our photoshoot!

Since high school I always had a feeling I would somehow have a child with DS. I just recently found an old journal entry from 2011 that said "When I get older, I want to adopt two babies with Down syndrome, a girl and a boy."

I just always thought it would be too good to be true. & in October 2023 I found out my second baby would be born with Down syndrome. Crazy how life works itself out.

We had all of the normal emotions of finding out your child was going to have a disability. But for me, it was some of the most peace id ever felt. I felt my sweet cousin Peter sent him to me because we didn't get nearly enough time together.

We had Teddy in February of 2024. He was the most angelic baby and came out with striking white hair. He has truly been the biggest blessing for me, my husband and our daughter Bowie. To know someone with Down Syndrome is incredibly precious but to be a mother to a baby with Down Syndrome is the most incredible gifts God could give. He has taught us so much already and I cannot wait to see his beautiful life unfold.

I genuinely think it's my life's passion to speak up & advocate for not only my beautiful son Teddy but for every single person with Down Syndrome. So here I am, doing what I can to try to make a difference. Every single t-shirt worn, shared, posted about is advocating for people with Down Syndrome. Thank YOU for being here! And thank you to all of my friends and family for supporting my little family and for loving Teddy unconditionally.
